American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
Two companies, long known for manufacturing aluminum racing plates, have signed a joint exclusive distribution agreement for Werkman horseshoes in the United States. Thoro’Bred and Victory reached the agreement with Hoefizerfabriek Werkman & Co. of The Netherlands, a company that has been manufacturing horseshoes for over 100 years.
“We are excited about this arrangement with Victory to distribute Werkman products,” says Thoro’Bred president Edwin Kinney of Anaheim, Calif. “The addition of Werkman to the wide range of Thoro’Bred aluminum shoes will provide our distributors with one of the strongest product offerings in the industry. Further, the cooperation with Victory establishes a solid American manufacturing base for Werkman to build upon.”
David Erb, president of Victory in Baltimore, Md., has a similar position. “Victory believes that this cooperation with Thoro’Bred to distribute Werkman products will provide a formidable marketing and sales alliance from which our customers and distributors will benefit,” he says “Our two companies have 138 years of combined experience and the addition of quality products from Werkman will only enhance our future success.”
Werkman shoes are available in a wide range of sizes ranging from pony to draft shoes. They include keg shoes, fronts, hinds, riding shoes, toe and side-clipped shoes, egg bar shoes, sliding horseshoes and Euro-style shoes.
Originally know as The Victory Racing Plate Co., Victory was founded in 1929 and manufactures a wide range of aluminum racing plates and aluminum horseshoes.
