Rasps Needed For Students

I am one of many blacksmith instructors from across the country. We all are in need of a little help from our farrier brothers. We use old rasps in our classes for cleaning projects and teaching proper use of rasps in blacksmithing. 

What’s no longer any good for your work is still very useful for ours. I’m asking for your help by locating your local blacksmithing classes and talking to the instructor. There is a Facebook group called “Blacksmithing Classes” with a network of all of us instructors. 

Local blacksmithing associations also are a huge part of the community by exhibiting our trades at museums and fairs to inspire kids and adults alike to pick up a hammer and learn. Often we give away files and rasps for students to help them start out. 

Please help us out to keep the hammers swinging and fires lit as we inspire new generations of blacksmiths by donating old rasps to these instructors in your area.
