Honoring dedication to the craft and life-long achievement of high quality work, the International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame and the International Equine Veterinarians Hall Of Fame each inducted four dynamic professionals into their exclusive ranks during February.
The Class of 2006 for each Hall was officially unveiled during an eventful general session held at the International Hoof-Care Summit in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame welcomed the late George H. Brown of Phoenix, Ariz., Tom Curl of Vero Beach, Fla., Bob Pethick of Califon, N.J., and Mike Wildenstein of Ithaca, N.Y. The International Equine Veterinarians Hall of Fame inducted Olin Balch of Pullman, Wash., Robert Bowker of East Lansing, Mich., Al Kane of Pierce, Colo., and Jack Roth of Oklahoma City, Okla.
The ceremony, which has become a part of the International Hoof-Care Summit, honored the newest members and welcomed them into the community of Hall Of Fame members. Each inductee was awarded an engraved Hall Of Fame plaque in front of the Summit’s more than 800 general session attendees. Later that evening, the new members were formally introduced to their Hall Of Fame peers during an intimate gathering at a private dinner hosted by American Farriers Journal.
