American Farriers Journal
American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
The Farrier Industry Association recently launched a new Web site that is geared to helping meet the ever changing educational needs of farriers. With over 200 members and a 22-year history of serving the farrier business, the group’s manufacturers, suppliers and retailers offer the most advanced hoof-care tools, products and gear to help you get your footcare work done more efficiently.
The new Web site offers an updated design, easy-to-navigate pages and plenty of helpful information that includes details on the latest products and valuable hoof-care tips. An events calendar lists shoeing contests, free clinics and American Farrier’s Association certification events. For more information, visit the FIA Web site at www.farrierindustry.org.
The FIA executive committee has also announced a new “Professional Suppliers For Professional Farriers” theme that fits the new goals of the organization. FIA members also go to great lengths to support hoof-care education through the sponsorship of local shoeing clinics and other educational events.
In addition, FIA recently hired a new management group, the Sanford Organization in Wauconda, Ill., to run the organization’s activities.
