American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
LEARNING AND BUYING. AFA convention-goers can closely examine farrier products, question manufacturer representatives and find genuine values among the product displays.
A NEW AND DIFFERENT class of competitors — The Jack Benny Class — will highlight the American Farrier’s Association’s 2004 convention. Competitors must be at least 60 years old to participate (proof of age NOT required). This will be a fun shoeing class that offers a great chance to watch some of the more veteran farriers show their stuff. Many of these competitors are the folks who were champions 25 or more years ago.
Best of all, Edward Martin of Closebuarn, Scotland, has agreed to judge this class. For those who may not know Martin, he is probably one of the greatest farriers and nicest people to ever walk the earth. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet this shoeing legend!
There are lots of other reasons to attend the convention, being held Feb. 25 to 28, 2004, in Rochester, N.Y.
