What Was “New” At AAEP

Many new products displayed at the recent American Association of Equine Practitioners annual meeting will be of special interest to farriers

Plenty of new products aimed at helping you do a better job of shoeing horses and improving hoof quality were unveiled by suppliers during the recent American Association of Equine Practitioners annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

More than 5,000 equine veterinarians, farriers, guests, vet students and suppliers were on hand for this late November event. Check out these products that looked like winners to American Farriers Journal staffers as they walked up and down the trade show aisles.

Long Hind Ultra-Limb

Horse Science-Horse Sense has introduced a new model for detailed study of the hind limb. A sagittally divided, hinged hoof is at the bottom of a hind limb divided into cross-sections at approximately 1-inch intervals all the way through and above the hock.

This model is also an excellent tool for interpreting and studying ultra-sound images.
