Rosetown, Saskatoon, farrier Frank Blair passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016. He was 78.
After growing up in Northern Ireland, Blair shod horses in the Glasgow, Scotland, coal yards, where he became a master farrier.
Blair immigrated to Canada in 1956 and worked on several ranches while competing in several rodeo events. Among his highlights was winning the title at the Cow Palace in San Francisco while competing in saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding. Blair also enjoyed success in the show horse world.
At his request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the horse association of your choice.
