Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital will celebrate the completion of its Saratoga, N.Y., expansion project with an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.

The Saratoga hospital boasts two surgical suites, three anesthesia induction and recovery stalls, nuclear scintigraphy, a radiology suite, a laboratory and an ambulatory garage. It also has a four-stall temperature-controlled nuclear scintigraphy building, as well.

“We are extremely excited about the new hospital which demonstrates our commitment to the health, safety and welfare of horses in the Saratoga area and surrounding regions,” says Travis Tull, equine surgeon.

The project more than doubled the size of the facility, which houses 11 veterinarians and 12 support staff members. In addition to the expansion, renovations to the original building increased office and storage space.

“We are pleased to debut the completed expansion,” says Brett Woodie, a surgeon and managing partner at Rood & Riddle. “This will allow us to better serve our equine clients in the New York and surrounding areas.”
