American Farriers Journal
American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
You can start planning now for the 2001 AFA convention in Kansas City, February 28 through March 3, 2001. You may remember Kansas City from the tremendous convention we had there 5 years ago. Who can forget their famous mouth-watering steaks and the great hospitality everywhere we went.
There are even casinos close by—and we don’t know that from experience, just brochures. Honest!
We’re introducing a few changes at this American Farrier’s Association (AFA) convention to make it a little less expensive for everyone. Instead of opening Wednesday morning, the convention will start with a grand opening Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., followed by the opening of the Marketplace at 4 p.m. With the Marketplace always being one of the top drawing cards for this convention, we think this will be a great way to start it off right!
The format for the lectures will be similar to the Lexington convention, with one major lecture at a time. Dr. Chris Pollitt will be lecturing twice, on Thursday and Friday. Bruce Daniels and Myron McLane will be together again on Saturday, and if you missed them in Rochester you don’t want to miss them this time! Dr. Jerry Black will be discussing degenerative joint disease as well.
We also have many other great speakers lined up that we’ll tell you about in future articles, and Allie Hayes and International Equine Veterinarians Hall Of Fame member Dr. Jan Young are bringing back the dry dissection lab.
