Former Pennsylvania farrier Marlyn C. Stroh of Hilltown Twp. and formerly of Emmaus, Pa., passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016. He was 79.
Stroh most recently was employed with Erdenheim Farms, Lafayette Hill, Pa., as superintendent until retiring in 2008. Prior to that, he worked for the Lehigh County Authority as a Water & Wastewater Systems supervisor.
A former director of the Pennsylvania Livestock Association, he was a member of the Bucks County Extension Board. In addition to agriculture, he had a love for animals and worked as a farrier. He was family-oriented and was especially fond of sharing in family get-togethers. He was known to be a “jokester” and storyteller, as well.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at the Jerusalem Western Salisbury United Church of Christ, 3441 Devonshire Rd., Allentown, PA, where family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the adjacent Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church Cemetery.
