American Farriers Journal
American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
A record number of equine footcare professionals took part in the 14th annual International Hoof-Care Summit to hear, “Trusted Practices, Innovative Thought.”
Attendees of this winter’s Summit were treated to a wealth of information from some of the most knowledgeable hoof-care experts in the world. Over 4 days in late January, they had the opportunity to take part in:
“It was an outstanding Summit, as usual,” says Bismarck, N.D., farrier Allan Voeller. “You have revolutionized the industry.”
Kevin Cydrus thoroughly enjoyed his experience and is planning to return.
“It dawned on me that I’m not alone out here,” says the Chillicothe, Ohio, farrier. “In the roundtables, we talk about things we experience and ways we tackle them. We are a group of people trying to do the same thing — make a wonderful animal better. Every roundtable, classroom and general session is my wow moment. At the end of every Summit, I look forward to next year.”
Last year, we put together a group of farriers to share their wow moments and pick up the torch that was carried for so many years by American Farriers Journal Technical Editor Red Renchin, who sadly passed away Aug. 29, 2015. The experiment worked so well that the practice continues this year, along with thoughts that attendees provided in the Summit surveys.
For those of you who could not make this year’s Summit…
