Another record turnout descended upon Cincinnati, Ohio, for “Trusted Practices, Innovative Thought” at the 2017 International Hoof-Care Summit.
A record 1,224 footcare practitioners from 18 countries attended the world’s largest equine hoof-care conference and trade show from Jan. 24-27, 2017. Attendees were treated to 4 days of intense footcare education consisting of 18 General Session presentations, 15 Hoof-Care Classrooms, 24 Hoof-Care Roundtables and 18 How-To Clinics. In addition, attendees had 9½ uninterrupted hours at the Trade Show, featuring 146 exhibitors housing 190 booths.
“There are two things that I find that you need to be successful,” Hall Of Fame farrier Bob Smith told attendees in a rousing motivational speech to close the Summit. “You need a primary aim and a strategic objective. A primary aim is a vision you have of your life. A strategic objective is the steps that you need to take to accomplish your primary aim.
“Over the last 4 days, we have witnessed dynamic men and women on this stage who have put this to practice. A goal without a plan is nothing but a wish. So I encourage you all to sit down and write out a plan.”
