Kwantlen Polytechnic University has extended the deadline in its search for on-call auxiliary farrier program assistants.
The Surrey, British Columbia, university is seeking farrier instructors to provide support its Foundation of Farrier training, which can extend from a single day to several weeks. The deadline is Tuesday, March 7.
Minimum qualifications for the position include a grade 12 diploma, a graduate of a Foundation Farrier program and have at least 1 year of previous farrier experience. The ability to move heavy items is essential, as well as having a vehicle and valid driver’s license. Membership in the Western Canadian Farrier’s Association and demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software, including MS Office, are required. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
