Allentown, Pa., farrier William “Westy” Westenhoefer passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, in Lehigh Commons surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.
Westenhoefer served as an apprentice seaman in the U.S. Navy during World War II, going on to teach at the Lehigh County Career and Technical Institute for 16 years. He also was a licensed racetrack farrier in five states.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich St, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited for a visitation at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Inurnment will take place following the service at Hope Cemetery, Fleetwood.
