Nearly 100 farriers attended the Aug. 11 Anvil Brand Summer Clinic at the company’s Lexington, Ill., facility. Clinicians included Bryan Osborne and Bodie Trnka, two members of the American Farriers Team (AFT).

During the morning, the farriers worked together during a live shoeing. Osborne shod the hinds, while Trnka shod the fronts. The goal during these sessions was to discuss contest preparation and how contests and your daily work rely on a strong understanding of the basic principles of footcare. After lunch, the two made a few shoes and answered attendee questions. 

The clinic also features a silent auction and raffle to benefit Jon Stedlin, a former AFT member who is battling cancer.
