American Farrier’s Association Research Committee is accepting preliminary grant applications until Nov. 15.
“If there is something you would like to see done in research, now is your time to act on it,” says Katie Panos, a member of the committee.
This year marks the first in what will be an annual program. According to Panos, uncertainty about the process is no reason not to apply. “The committee is here to assist anyone who wants to be involved.”
The committee will assign mentors to applicants Dec. 4, 2017, for the second round of applications, which will be due Feb. 5, 2018. Grant recipients will be announced at the 2018 AFA Convention in Reno, Nev.
