Feeding horses with pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction (PPID), also called Cushing’s disease, can sometimes be difficult because these horses are often older, overweight or underweight, and may have insulin resistance, with or without recurrent laminitis. Researchers compared to the usefulneness of computed tomography (CT), contract enhanced CT (CECT) and low field magnetic resonance imaging (LFMRI) to identify lesions causing lameness in 31 limbs of 23 horses.
