The Horseshoe Barn will host its 32nd annual Fall Seminar in Sacramento, Calif. Bobby Menker and Mike Wharton are the clinicians.
Bobby Menker of Lexington, Ky., is an American and International Associations of Professional Farriers (AAPF/IAPF) Accredited Professional Farrier (APF-I) and an American Farrier’s Association (AFA) Certified Journeyman Farrier (CJF) with more than 30 years of experience shoeing western and English performance horses. His clients include multiple American Quarter Horse Association World Show and Congress champions, National Reining Horse Association futurity and derby winners, as well as successful Grand Prix competitors. His specialties include supportive shoeing for the high-level athlete. A past AFA examiner and frequent clinician, Menker has been consistently involved in efforts to bring more educational opportunities to farriers. He is one of the first AAPF/IAPF members to earn the Farrier Foundation Credential.
Mike Wharton, CJF, APF, of Wellington, Fla., has more than 30 years of experience shoeing primarily hunters, jumpers, and dressage horses up and down the eastern seaboard. His commitment to education and mentoring have always been key to his success. He previously served as a certification tester for the AFA. Since joining the AAPF/IAPF he has enhanced his commitment to farrier education and is now one of the association’s most requested clinicians.
