American Farriers Journal
American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
The faculty of veterinary medicine at the University of Montreal will host a clinic day for farriers at veterinaries. The clinician is Dr. Steve O'Grady.
The program will include presentations that focus on anatomy and biomechanics of the equine foot as it pertains to farriery, guidelines for proper physiological horseshoeing, recognizing hoof capsule distortions, farriery for the hind foot, how to examine the foot as a prelude to farriery, clinical cases for assessing and applying appropriate farriery, and application of the wooden shoe.
Registration before Jan. 15, 2020, is $125 per person and $200 for two (one farrier, one veterinarian). Admission at the door will be $150.
The event will take place at the University of Montreal, 3200, rue Sicotte Saint-Hyacinthe (Quebec) J2S 2M2.
