American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
The Kentucky Horseshoeing School is sponsoring a clinic on the correct use and miss-use of composite shoes, foot orthotics and foot glues. The “Modern Materials” 2-day clinic will be held at the campus of the Kentucky Horseshoeing School on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25-26.
The products that will be demonstrated are:
GluShu: Cuffs, glues, insole orthotics and pour pads
Equimold by Formahoof: The polyurethane glue shoe mold
SoundHorse Technologies: Sigafoos series indirect glue shoes and the flex, direct glue shoe
Equithotics: The equithotic shoe line
Equicast: Casting material, wooden and EVA clogs
Luwex: AL-Ride, M9, Premium Sports silicone, laminitis silicone, Luwex pads, Luwex knives and nippers
Vettec: Product line
Clinic Format
Day 1
Lecture and demonstrations on all products from industry representatives.
Day 2
Wet Labs: Participants will have hands-on training in the current application of all products. Industry representatives will be set up at stations throughout the Kentucky Horseshoeing School shops and participants will apply their products to cadaver feet at each station. By the end of the clinic, participants will have industry representative instruction and will have applied all products to horse’s feet.
Lunch will be available for purchase onsite.
The cost for the 2 days is $375.00 and limited to 15 hands-on participants. A $100 deposit is required.
