Equine Digit Support System's Farrier Apron is made of a high-quality Cordura material with extra large, heavy-weight, leather thigh/leg patches. The belt is a 1.75-in.-wide, heavy leather belt with a special "V" cut design in the front to allow the circumference of the waist to expand when its user bends over, yet still fit snuggly when standing upright.

A special back pad is threaded onto the belt to help distribute the pressure and weight of the apron over a larger area. The apron features two large mouth pockets for easy access to one of multiple knives.
