Hebron, Ky., farrier James Tanner passed away Dec. 10, 2018. He was 86.

During his career, Tanner was a farrier at River Down's and Latonia Race Track. He also worked as the Conner High School football team's weight trainer and was a Korean War Army Veteran.

A funeral service will take place December 14 at noon at Hebron Lutheran Church, 3140 Limaburg Rd., Hebron, Ky. 41048. The service will be preceded by a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow the service at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery. Lunch will be provided after the internment.
