David Nicholls, West Sussex, England

Since 1990, David Nicholls has operated The Farriery Practice, a multi-farrier business with a specialization in therapeutic treatment.

He also serves as an associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers and is the technical director of Total Foot Protection Ltd., a farrier and vet supply business. He is a member of the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association, Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farriers – Freedom of the City of London, and a member of the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization.

Nicholls says that even after 50 years, he is still just as excited by the prospect of shoeing horses as he was when he started.

“I still share that same passion,” he says. “It’s an honor and a privilege to accept this induction into the horseshoeing Hall of Fame.”
