Wellington, Fla., farrier Terry Ott passed away Jan. 22, 2021. He was 65.
Ott previously worked as an electrician, owned an irrigation company and a welding shop, as well as trapped alligators for the state of Florida. Ott then made a career shoeing horses and was a well-respected farrier for 35 years. He took great pride in the therapeutic care he provided horses and the relationships he made with people in his community. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experiences with farriers, including Kelly McGhee.
A memorial Mass to celebrate Ott’s life will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Saint David’s in the Pines, 465 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington, FL 33414.
