Mechanicsville, Md., farrier Pat Fulcher passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Bridgepoint Hospital-Capital Hill. He was 75.
After high school, Fulcher enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country. On leave after his time in Vietnam, Fulcher would meet his future wife Janet. After 20 years of service, he would retire honorably.
He was a farrier by trade and animal friend by choice. Fulcher loved every day he got to spend in the fields or barn shoeing horses. After many years, Pat began to work on his blacksmithing skills and his talents knew no bounds. His passion for his art was infectious and he would go on to mentor many young people.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 27108 Mount Zion Church Rd., Mechanicsville, MD 20659. He will be buried with military honors at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy., Cheltenham, MD 20623.
