Illinois farrier Richard Costa passed Jan. 24, 2022. He was 34.

Costa was a 2008 graduate of Midwest Horseshoeing School. He was a full-time farrier, gifted horseman and trick rider. He started his horse career riding and driving carriages at Noble Horse in Chicago. He performed with his trick riding team at Midwest Horse Fair, Breyerfest at the Kentucky Horse Park and Equine Affaire. Costa had an extensive shoeing clientele and will be missed.
