Simon Curtis

Dr. Simon Curtis, FWCF, has been my mentor through my apprenticeship from 1994-1999. Upon completing my time, I remained working for both Simon and his brother Mark for a further 3 years.

I was 16 when I walked in to the forge and with the guidance of both Simon and Mark, I grew from a boy with no practical skills to a man shoeing some of the best racehorses in the world.

Now years later, again when I started a journey I’m currently on to become an AWCF, Dr. Simon kindly offered to mentor me once more. We have now been in this journey for almost 2 years and I’m confident that with his help and knowledge I will achieve my goal.
