Eva Clark (Springfield, Ore.)
Three days after graduating from Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School, I started cold calling farriers in my area. At first it felt like no one would call be back, but soon enough someone let me hop in their truck. It was on that first outting that I started to realize how much more I had to learn and how inconvenient I was to have along. I was slow and nervous. By name dropping that first connection I got a couple calls back, one was Eva Clark. Eva is incredibly patient and encouraging. She let me work on horses and would even talk to me like my I might have a helpful opinion on some of her cases, which I really appreciated. Eva was, and still is, quick to send every opportunity my way and help me get more involved in the farrier world. She is committed to continuing education and open to sharing her experience and knowledge. I don’t know where I would be without her supervision that first year and her continued support and willingness to problem solve with me. Thank you Eva!
