The University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital is welcoming a new farrier into its ranks.
Tobias Ellis, CJF, of Madras, Ore., will be joining Midwest Equine this month.
“I am honored and humbled by so many amazing people in our lives,” the former Oregon Farriers Association president told his hoof-care clients in a Facebook post. “Thank you for trusting me with all your amazing horses.”
Ellis owned and operated several farrier services in central and western Oregon over the past 20-plus years. He joins Illinois’ farrier service that Steve Sermersheim, CJF (TE), AWCF has led since 2017. Jasper Dunn is the third member of the team.
“We are looking forward to adding Tobias to our farrier team,” Sermersheim says.
