Former farrier Larry E. Galbreath of Brookville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at Brookville Hospital. He was 81.

Before serving as a teacher for the Brookville Area School District for more than 32 years, Galbreath enjoyed his time as a blacksmith and farrier. He was a member of the Mid-Eastern Farriers Association.

He also served his country as a member of the United States Navy

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 30 White St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
