Farrier Norbert Pajunas Sr. of Whitehouse Station, N.J., died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, N.J. He was 81.
He was proud of his service in the United States Navy, both in active duty and the reserves.
He was a self-employed equine chiropodist, a career he loved, caring for one of his life’s passions, horses.
He was president for several years of the New Jersey chapter of the American Farrier's Association and was a member of the Horse Race Trotters & Pacers. He raced at Freehold Raceway, Dover Downs Racetrack and the Meadowlands when it first opened.
A funeral liturgy was celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale, N.J.
