Wayland, Mich., farrier Joseph Fifelski passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, in his home surrounded by his family. He was 61.
After graduating from Wayland Union High School, Fifelski went on to be a farrier while working full time for Blackmer Pump for nearly 35 years. He retiried due to a battle with cancer. He was an avid horseman and spent countless hours breaking and riding horses. He and his wife Kristine loved traveling with the horses to trail ride with friends.
A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 128 Cedar in Wayland. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church before the service. A luncheon will follow at the VFW Hall, 735 S. Main St. in Wayland.
