Some years ago, Ardmore, Okla., farrier Craig Livingston decided to re-organize his operation and invest in a gooseneck trailer. A farrier for 22 years, Livingston wanted the flexibility of using his own pickup truck for business purposes, without having to clutter the bed with all the tools of the trade. Besides, after a physically taxing week of shoeing horses, the last thing any farrier wants to do is load up all of their equipment into the back of a pickup truck.

Shop On Wheels 

Livingston purchased his new gooseneck and set about the task of organizing his shop. The new trailer gave him much-needed floor space and the ability to maintain easy access to tools and equipment.

“Great. It was like having a shop on wheels,” Livingston says. “I  had  my benches, anvil, grinder, forges, drill presses and tools all within arm’s reach.
