Brooksville, Fla., farrier Peter Cote passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was 69.
After his military service, Cote pursued many careers before finding his true calling as a farrier, which he retired from in 1999. He was a member of the Abenaki Draft Horse Association and was an officer of the VFW Post 10209 in Springhill, Fla., where he was a member of the Honor Guard.
Friends and relatives may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco, Maine. A memorial service immediately will follow at the funeral home.
Friends and relatives are invited to the BPOE #1597, Ocean Park Road, Saco, for a reception to follow.
