American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
The American and International Associations of Professional Farriers (AAPF/IAPF) will serve as the emergency farrier service providers for the FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) Tryon 2018 at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.
The Tryon International Equestrian Center in Spring Mill, N.C., will host the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games from Sept. 11-23, 2018.
“The health and well-being of our competitors is paramount,” says Michael Stone, president of Tryon/WEG 2018 LLC. “Teaming with world-class farriers is integral to ensuring that our equine athletes receive outstanding hoof care.”

Dave Farley of Coshocton, Ohio, and Loxahatchee, Fla., and James Gilchrist of Wellington, Fla., will coordinate the AAPF/IAPF’s team approach by providing the necessary farriers, shoes, nails, tools and other equipment to participating farriers.
“James and I are eager to use our experiences as farriers at previous World Equestrian Games, Olympics, and other internationally recognized horse shows, to provide the highest quality of hoof-care to all international teams competing at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, N.C.,” says Farley, a member of the International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame.
The 2018 edition of the FEI World Equestrian Games will take place over 13 days from Sept. 11-23, 2018, at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.
