Event Description
The Florida State Farrier Assn. will be holding their Annual Clinic and Membership Meeting to discuss sport horseshoeing and negative palmer. Mike Wharton, CJF will be the event's clinician.
Mike has been shoeing horses since 1971. He started his apprenticeship after serving in the USMC. His disciplines have included Western Pleasure, Reining, Cutting and Dressage. He now focuses on Dressage, Hunter & Jumper, and has been shoeing on the "A" Circuit since 2001. Mike runs a multiple farrier practice between Florida and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Farriers Assn., International Assn. of Professional Farriers and the World Championship Blacksmiths. As former chairman of the APF Mentor Mentee Committee, Mike is a strong advocate in all areas of mentoring. He has had the privilege of of working the 2017 World Cup in Omaha with Head Farrier Jason Critton, CJF, TE of Colorado.
Registration for the event begins at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
