American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting an Equine Foot and Hoof-Care Clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at the R.B. Warren Arena (East Campus), 3940 Fair St., Lincoln, Neb. The clinicians are Dr. Scott Fleming and Sam Zalesky, CJF, both of Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
The clinic will include:
• A live shoeing demonstration.
• Evaluation techniques for healthy and problem feet.
• Discussion on fostering and maintaining an effective, respectful partnership between vets, farriers and horse owners.
• Plenty of time for questions and answers.
To register, download the form at https://go.unl.edu/uxib. When registering by Feb. 1, the cost will be $75 for veterinarians, animal health professional problems, farriers and horse owners. The price will increase to $100 after Feb. 1. Students registering by Feb. 1 must pay $25 and $50 after Feb. 1.
Lunch will be available on site. Continuing education hours will be available for the clinic.
