Esco Buff will be conducting his annual Summer Summit from Aug. 5-7, 2021, at Meredith Manor Equestrian Centre Farrier Shop in Waverly, W.Va. The clinicians are Esco Buff, John Crothers, Ken Best and Dr. Gabe Middleton.

Three-day clinic schedule

Thursday, Aug. 5

• Guest veterinarians and Buff will discuss veterinarian-farrier relationships.
• Powerpoint on anatomy and learning tricks.
• Powerpoint and practical on shoeing the coronary band not the hoof.
• Powerpoint and practical on trimming and shoeing for injuries.
• Evening pizza/wing social.

Friday, Aug. 6

• Powerpoint and discussions on advanced business skills.
• Powerpoint on practical anatomy and trimming practical for goats/sheep and pigs.
• Powerpoint for newer farriers on what to do after school.
• Annual Summer Summit contest with cash prizes.

Saturday, Aug. 7

• Forging and tool day. Buff will demonstrate the forging project and Best will discuss tool alterations, maintenance and sharpening.
• Evening campfire social.

The costs per person are as follows:

• Attend all 3 days for $325, which includes a free 2020 Summer Summit memorabilia gift, lunch/supper and drinks for all 3 days. 
• Attend 2 days for $275, which includes a free 2020 Summer Summit memorabilia gift, lunch/supper and drinks for both days. 
• Attend 1 day for $130, which includes a free 2020 Summer Summit memorabilia gift, lunch/supper and drinks for that day.

The registration deadline is July 15, 2021. Pre-registration is the only way to attend. No at the door registrations or walk-ins will be allowed.
