The Western States Farriers Association presents an American Farrier’s Association certification, hosted by Sonoma County Farriers Group. Jon Voigt, CJF, is the examiner.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 with precertification to go over your shoeing, shoeboards or study for the written. This will continue until 2 p.m.

The written test and shoeboard test will be from 2:30 to 6 p.m.

The practical shoeing test will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will take place at 365 E. Railroad Ave., Cotati, Calif.
