At American Farriers Journal, we have served the farrier industry for more than 45 years. Our goal is to help these footcare practitioners so that they, in turn, can help the horse. That is the purpose of this special publication. To provide farrier insight on this matter, we enlisted the help of five farriers, all of whom have vast experience in therapeutic farriery and are active in farrier education. We hope you find these perspectives interesting and consider how it can aid your relationship with the farriers in your area. The intention isn’t to provide instructions as a how-to, but show how farriers can carefully apply creative approaches with your direction. Ultimately, maintaining great relationships with farriers will benefit your clients and their horses.
