Clayton, Colton,Teri and Oscar are not only the most amazing people I have met but also take such great care of my horse. Moving to central florida finding a good farrier was my top priority and thanks to a friend I didn't just find a good farrier I found the most amazing farrier team I have ever met. They go above and beyond to make sure my horses feet are correct and balanced and have changed my horse for the better. I truly believe they are the best in the business and feel blessed that I found them.

I want to recognize the farriers at Florida Farrier Service in Oxford, Florida. Clayton Wilbur along with his wife Teri own the business. Clayton is amazing! My 23 year old Chincoteague pony was diagnosed with cushings and laminitis in August of 2022. She was hospitalized for a month and shoes were put on at the hospital. After I picked her up to come home, I scheduled her next appointment with Clayton. We came to Florida Farrier Service in October 2022 and Clayton said Whodini's hoof walls were not strong enough to handle the nails. So, he took a rubber two pads, cut leather horseshoes, put side clips on the pads and casted her front feet. The progress she made was amazing and the next appointment she was able to withstand shoes. Each month the progress she makes amazes me. In June 2023 she went home barefoot! I am so amazed with this team of Clayton, Colton and Oscar, who all work on my "most of the time" cranky little mare. And Teri is always there when I have any questions or issues. I love this team and I am so happy to share my story with everyone!!!

I have to give a huge thank you to my mentor, Clayton Wilber. Many years ago, he took in some 20 year old Kid that had never even picked up a horses foot and taught me every little thing I know today. Everything from every day Horseshoeing basics all the way to hard learned life lessons. Unless you have a horse with a muscle disease, you can’t appreciate how much a good patient Farrier can mean to you and your horse. My horse has.PSSM and she can be so good on 3 feet but that last foot every Farrier who has worked on her has said it’s an attitude problem they want to twitch her. They want to get mad at her. The first time I went to clayton he immediately recognized she did not have a mean bone in her body! He pointed out she was afraid and that it hurt and she needed to trust, it took us a year of doing different things and letting her know she was safe and now we can do all 4 feet without any drugs and her knowing she’s going to be OK and still have her this whole time competing and winning in the barrel racing arena. She may not be the fastest, but she definitely has the most heart and because we have a good farrier she has the best feet now as well.
Clayton, his wife Terri, and their entire team are absolutely fantastic! Clayton is a gifted farrier who gives his all to his craft. He loves teaching others how to achieve their farrier goals too, along with providing outstanding service, as a team, to their equine clients. Clayton and his team are not just our farrier they are invested in my and my sons passion for rodeo! Finding the perfect horse for a 11 year old very competitive roper isn’t always easy! A lot times the horse that is the perfect fit isn’t sound and over the years he’s made unsound average horse GREAT! We travel literally across the county and he’s come up with ways for them to leave and come home sound with some amazing shoeing techniques. It’s nothing for him to show up at 9pm because we are leaving on a 3 week trip and I’m either missing a shoe or someone comes up lame. We truly appreciate our FLORIDA Farrier team.
