Billy Lampley (Leipers Fork, Tn.)
I would like to nominate Billy Lampley. He has held many positions and supported the Music City Horseshoers Association, holding clinics and holding shoe ins at his shop. I met Billy in 2001 at a Clinic. From that point on he has been the mainstay influence on my own career and many others. He introduced me to the AFA and the certification process. He has helped me on many of nights after a long days work, opening up his shop to work on building shoes, shoe boards, and shoeing horses. Many people have helped me along the way, such as Buck McClenden and Jake Hall. I certainly want them to acknowledge their impact on my career as well. I can’t thank them all enough.
